Question Tank to bowl leak

I removed my toilet for renovations, stored in safe place, but when I put back in place it leaks. So I replaced all the guts. Still leaks. This only leaks when I flush. It lseems like the gasket doesn't go down far enough into thehole in the bowl. The toilet is a gerber and about 30 yrs old. Are the new gaskets a different size???

Did you replace the tank to bowl gasket with a new one? If so did it form to the contours of the spud nut between or was it round? They have to match. If the toilet is 30 years old it probably isn't "comfort height", and uses 6 gallons of water per flush. IMO a new toilet would be in order, especially with a renovation.

Hi, The problem you have is rare. I have seen the same symptoms when the water in the tank sprays and hits the lid and water goes down the back of the tank and looks like the problem you have. To Check take the lid off the tank then flush, if it looks OK then go back to problen one.
