New(6mos old) Moen faucet neck pops off threads

We recently installed a Moen faucet in the kitchen. The installation went fine. Yesterday I turned the water on and the neck popped off the base. I took the neck back to the store and they gave me a new one. I tried to to install it but the threads won't grab. The threads don't appear to be damaged, I even used a magnifying glass. It was a real pain to take out and install the it the last time because of the sink and all the other stuff that is in the way. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your time!

Which Moen faucet do you have? When you say neck I assume you mean the faucet's spout. Go to the Moen website and locate your faucet. Then click on the "exploded parts view" and say which parts are causing you trouble.

I am not "Consumer Reports", but have installed a few hundred faucets. When faucet problem comes to mind, I Moen rises to the top. Sorry.

I've installed quite a few Moen faucets of various styles and never had a bit of trouble.
