pink ring in toilet bowl
Good friend found that a pink ring was forming in the toilet bowl from the standing water......I told him that being it was pink it was probably algae of some sort but not sure where it is coming from so something can be done. The DIY site has so many great people with lots of experience.......any ideas what the cause is and what we might look for?

Scrub it Away!
The pinkish rim is actually caused from bacteria in the air of the bathroom that survives in wet places. The tub, toilet, and sink are among the most common. Cleaning with a tough brush and bleach should do the trick.
