shower / tub drain leak

Tring to diagnose my leak. Shower pan test complete, that's not it. Then we ran water into a bucket instead of letting it go down the drain, no leak. Then when we run the shower or tub normally there's no leak. The leak happen when we let a tub full of water or a couple gallon down the drain at one time. The leak is leajking down to the kitchen ceiling from the 2nd story shower.

About the only way you can fully diagnose this is to cut an access in the ceiling of the kitchen. Quite often it is the trap that is leaking, and could just need tightening. Sometimes it is the seal between the drain and the pipe itself. Only removing a section about 16 x 16 so you will have something to nail up your sheetrock patch and give you room to observe/work.
