should I replace flexible tubing in bathroom sinks in condo?
We have a vacation condo which is about 14 yrs old. I have since replaced flappers on toilets as well as toilet inlet valves and supplies. I also replaced washer hoses with stainless.
Since we are only there every few months, we turn off water whenever we leave.
I am trying to see if I should replace any other things that might be prone to leaking.
The supply tubing under the sinks in bathrooms is a clear tubing with what looks like criss-cross pattern of fiber (like chain link fence). Not sure if this is actually cross-linked poly.
Should I replace these anyways? In our primary home, I have never replaced them, but I am a little wary of vacation place as we are not around very much. But I don't want to unnecessarily replace something that should be fine.
Thanks
Dave

Ok. One other thing. With one of toilets, shutoff valve and inlet on toilet are very close together. I looped the shortest stainless hose I could find. I wouldn't say it is kinked tight, but is under some tension. Is that a recipe for a leak? Should I get a longer hose and loop it with idea it wouldn't form as tight a loop?

So i finally looked under sinks. Tubing in one bathroom is copper from shutoff to sink. In other bathroom, it is some type of solid chrome (?brass). Should i replace these or leave them? Thanks

I like getting longer supply's and putting a bigger loop as not to cause tension.
