Some tubs not getting as hot as others

I have a shower and a bathtub that back up to each other in the master bath and another bathtub down the hall. The shower gets plenty hot but neither one of the tubs get very warm, what could cause this? Thanks in advance for the help

The scald setting behind the handle or the cartridge itself...The cartridges are pressure balanced and it could have scale build up and my not not functioning correctly... That is if modern style...

Whats the make / model of the diverter?

The faucets are made by delta, the house was built in late 02 so I assume that's modern style. I havent owned the home long and im a first tine owner so this is new to me

Here is a very good video... ( Video for reference only)

Hopefully this is your type faucet. Your would have the older style...

If you have two handles and one adjusts temp then thats a thermostatic valve and a whole different animal.

Well I tried the adjuster, moved it all the way to the hottest, didnt seem to make any difference. After watching the video it does look like the newer style, its delta 1400 series. Any other ideas?

The balance spool then is the only thing left... Thats the piece in the video that slides back and forth,,,

Its located behind the cartridge.. I would change the cartridge and the balance spool at the same time...

What model go you have??? Strange your hose is older but the newer cartridge was made in 05'...

The balance spool looks like in the video... Sometime it comes with it but you can buy separately....
