Hello, and thanks for the help in advance. My disposal is leaking from a small button on the bottom of the unit. It is a red rubber-like button that can be pushed in. It is slowly dripping from this place only. Is this something that I can fix myself, or do I need to tee it up and hit it with a five iron? thanks again, D

I have a good quality Hansgrohe shower head which is leaking at the joint between the flexible hose and the head itself. The link below gives a diagram of the setup. There seem to be 2 joints near the leak: one where the hose end piece screws onto the head - there is a rubber washer (looks perfect) and a filter there; and one where the hose itself (which is flexible plastic, not metal sections - no leaks in it) connects to the metal hose end. This second joint is the one which allows the shower head to rotate independently of the hose. It's this second one which I think is leaking - when looking in from the open end (having unscrewed from the head and removed the filter and washer) there is a metal tube (presumably friction bunged into the end of the hose) which then presents flush with the flange where the washer sits. I would expect there to be some kind of seal there, but it looks like there is not. There is a reasonable amount of play in this joint, and I think that is where the leak is. Is it worth trying to take the hose off to have a look?
