Toilet water supply

American Standard calls for the water supply to a new toilet to be 8 inches from the floor. If I install it at 11 1/2 it is completely hidden from view, it does not touch the bowl or interfere in anyway that I can see.

Is there any compelling reason to keep it at 8" and have it much more visible?

Could it cause any issue with the speedway having it 4 inches higher?

Thank you,

As long as it clears the toilet, allows for an easy bend of the connecting hose and is accessible you can place the supply valve anywhere you desire.

Can you still get to the shut off valve with it "hidden"?
How do you plan on connecting the line to the tank?

Thank you Furd.

Joe, there is a Pex line to the toilet, a shutoff valve that would require you to drop to a knee to close, but accessible, which is connected with a stainless speedway.
