Hello, I had a plumber come out to fix a leaking spout in the shower. This is a three knob system. Apparently the hot water was the one leaking. Plumber Installed a new Sayco tub/shower rebuild kit to stop the leak ( rebuilt all 3). My tenant says after he left the shower has no pressure. Plumber went back and said he tried to reinstall the old stem from the middle knob but it didn't work. this is what he stated "Rebuild the diverter stem they had removed and reinstalled it, still pouring water." So he installed a tub spot diverter. It worked for a day. Now tenant is having the same problem with no pressure to the shower and states its worse than before. Any idea what is going on? Besides the shower pressure, I'm upset that he couldn't fix the middle knob and now it is useless Thank you in advance

I have a dilemma, I'm in the process of getting my tub surround re-tiled. My building was converted back in the 80's and I have a Delta 1600 series valve. I can easily buy a replacement cartridge online and there seems to be some universal shower trim kits available that will fit just fine. However I've read that it might be good idea to get the valve swapped out so that I have easier access to parts, a greater choice of the latest trim kits and better technology (separate volume / temp controls). My only fear is that I might loose my amazing water pressure if I upgrade. Does anyone know if the newer Delta cartridges have the water-saver feature built in at the cartridge level or is it in the shower head - which i know can be removed? I can't stand showering in some of the newer showers that have weaker pressure.
