T in wall broke

I was trying to remove an existing pipe going into the waste drain T in the wall behind my vanity with a roto bit. The t broke where the sink waste drain pipe enters the T.

There is not much left of the female part of the T left. I take it I have to open the wall and replace the T? Is there any alternative?

The vanity is hanging on the wall, complicating opening the wall.

Is this PVC I assume?

If so , yes the tee will need to be replaced.

Access from a back wall possibly?
