How do you connect a square female to a circular threaded rod?

I'm wondering how I can add this square female securely to a 3/8" circular threaded rod. The square female is as shown below. I'm thinking an adapter of some sort... perhaps something like a square socket with an internally threaded receiver. However, these sockets with internal threading don't seem to exist, and the square attachment doesn't appear to be secure, which is especially important with porcelain.

Please let me know, and thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums.

One way would be to grind four flat sides on the threaded road and carefully tap the knob on.
What are your plans for the knobs ?

Thanks for the welcome and tip!

If the threaded rod's end is "tight" enough with almost no tolerance, the friction alone will secure it sufficiently? And, I'd just have to tap it in with a rubber mallet, I take it.

It's for a custom screw jack for a project of mine...

I would think so. A little Metal Epoxy could be used for an even tighter fit.
