Toilet too close to wall.

Is there an easy way to move a toilet without digging up the floor and plumbing?
Can you move the toilet to a diagnal on the flange?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

I'm not a plumber but I'm pretty sure the only way you can move the commode forward is to move the flange/pipe forward. If you turned the commode on the flange one end would come away from the wall but the other would be pushed into it.

A toilet actually sticks back further if placed on a diagonal. There are offset toilet flanges that can move the toilet a couple inches but that gets into some mild piping/plumbing work. You can also look for a toilet that does not stick back so far.

Why is it too close to the wall? If you explain the problem we might be better able to help you. How about some pictures. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...rt-images.html

Ray has a good point. Perhaps you have a 12 inch toilet and a 10 inch rough in.
