tips on installing vessel sink

I got a quartz counter top and a new vessel style sink. I got the hole in the counter top so that the drain fits but looking now at the entire setup, I am not sure what will make the sink stay secured in place.... there are two small holes in the base of the sink but still I don't intend to drill now in the 1.5inch quartz counter top.

Would you say that a layer of some sort of glue / adhesive is enough to hold the base of the sink with the drain screw ?

Any other ideas ?

Thanks!

by the way the sink is semi-round with a bottom flattening out but only about 3 sq inch is actually in contact with the top of the counter....that's why I was thinking about "gluing" it

The surface mount vessel sinks I've installed had a mounting ring included with the drain assembly. It's a thick metal washer (about 1/4-3/8 thick) that goes between the sink and the countertop. It has a silicone rubber washer that fits between it and the sink. When the drain is tightened securely, the sink is held pretty solidly. Not rock solid, as there is some give in the rubber, but plenty solid.

At 1-1/2" thick I'd be concerned with is the drain assembly, and faucet shafts not being long enough to even get the nuts on.

Carbide Tipped; mine is a bit different...the bottom part is flattened so I have some space that could be used as contact to the counter top.

As an update I just went ahead and applied some Gorilla Glue since it mentioned ceramic and stone as one of the materials it can bind.
Anyhow...I just put a bit where the sink is in the contact with the coutertop.... then used drain assembly of higher quality (all metal/brass)...to make sure it holds it all in place.
