The ring inside flush supply connector looks inky black and stains.

I am sorry I don't know the terminology for the ring, is it O ring or seal ring, but whatever it is that stays between supply line plastic connector and the flush tank is totally black and when you touch it you get black stuff all over your hands. I found out this when I was installing bidet and I just bought a new one, now after a while I see the new one as well as the one that was installed at bidet end is the same.

Is this toxic?

I am sure water touches that, is there a different O ring/seal that I can buy to prevent this from happening? It might be OK for flush but I don't think it is OK for bidet.

HD said they don't sell just that ring.

I wouldn't worry about it but if you're determined, measure inside and outside diameter and thickness and google "silicone washers".
