getting hot water first than cold

Hello everyone. First time poster for plumbing.
I had my bathroom renovated, the guy who did the work also did the plumbing in the shower/tub. My issue is that I get hot water first than cold. It's been three years since this work was done. Is there a easy fix for this? I was thinking about just pulling out the cartridge and flipping it over. This way i'll have cold first and eventually hot as I rotate the handle.

You mean as you turn the handle to turn the water on, it starts at the hottest setting and stops turning at the coldest?

Correct. I get hot water first than cold. It's complete opposite. I think it's an American Standard bath/shower valve control. When I want hot water, I just turn the knob slightly and pull spout part up to turn on the shower. The valve makes very loud noise when the shower is on. It looks like this.

Yes, turning the cartridge over will reverse the hot/cold, but remember you will need to turn the water off to the house before pulling it Be sure to re-set your hot stop ring once you have completed the task.
