Add utility sink to washing machine drain pipe?

Hi -- I'm hoping to add a utility/laundry sink in my basement. I already have the necessary water lines, but I'm trying to figure out how to drain it. Can I convert the washing machine drain standpipe into a drain for the sink? How about using a Y to run a new standpipe and upstream from the new sink drain? All I can see at the moment is 2" PVC coming out of the wall, leading into a p-trap and the standpipe coming up from there.

Thanks!

Hi, If the sink and washer are close to each other remove the stand pipe and use the drain for the deep sink, Drain the washing machine into the deep sink.
