toilet input leaking

So I thought it was my connector hose that was leaking. So i got a new hose, tightened it. It is still leaking. It is leaking where the connector hose tightens to the bottle threaded plastic coming out of the toilet. I even tried wrapping that plastic with teflon tape and it is still leaking. Any suggestions or do I need a new filler valve kit?

You can try tightening the plastic nut that holds the filler valve to the tank. If that doesn't take care of it replace the gasket. I don't recall seeing just the gasket for sale but if you know a plumber they've probably got extras lying around. And lastly you can get a new fill valve kit. They come with a new gasket.

Replacing the whole fill valve may not be a bad place to start. If the fill valve to tank was not leaking before but it is now it's possible that the nut or fill valve has cracked in which case replacing the gasket won't help.
