Cant find a shower faucet replacement

The hot side of my shower has a slow leak. Ive tried finding a replacement online and ordered 2 kits from amazon but neither fit. My thread size is 3/4 and both of these are bigger than that. Also, both of these kits use a seat but the stems I have do not, they kind of permantly seat themselves then when water is turned on, a disc move to allow water to flow. I have pics I downloaded to photobucket but I cant seem to get them to work on this site. I do notice theres a smaller threaded hole behind where the stem seats for a seat but that hole is also smaller than either of the seats I had ordered.

First, trying to find a replacement online or at a big home center can be an exercise in futility. Try taking your valve stem to a plumbing supplier or plumbing store where you have a better chance of talking with someone that knows plumbing and can hold your old part up against a new one to make sure you get the correct thing.

Yea that's my plan but when I pulled the hot side out it broke. So I pulled the cold side out to take a pic. I want to convert it to the seat type but none of the kits I order say the size of the threads and their all too big. It's a central brass brand

They need to be resized. You can use any of these:

Picresize

Webresizer

or d/l this program that can also be used for editing pics:
IrfanView

Then just click on the "insert image" icon at the top of your post.

Just to understand..... the top part is what is in use and you want to replace it with something like which is on the bottom ?

This is a three handle shower system and you don't know the brand.... correct ?

Yes this is a 3 handle shower system. I just want to replace the faucets as they have been leaking. It says central on the handles. It doesn't currently use a seat style stem.

The one on the bottom is the second kit I have ordered so far and as you can see it's too big. There is a smaller threaded section in the pipe outlet where a seat would go but even the seats are too big that came in both kits. Name: IMG_20170204_163305856_HDR_opt.jpg

Take a look at this one from Central Brass. The stem looks a little different but the rest looks like a match. I don't really think you want to try going from washerless to a washer style.

Good lord $40! That's what I was paying for the entire kit for all 3 sides.

Well no kidding but those kits come with 3 valves, handles, seats, even the wrench and were comparing all if that to one valve stem? Doesn't seem right? If I gotta do it than so be it but what could make it so much more than all the others?
