Dishwasher drain hose
I have to replace a drain hose on a GE dishwasher that's around 10 years old. Because the dishwasher is not near the sink the hose I need is nearly 9' long. I found drain hoses the necessary length but not GE which were only 6' or less. Is there anything special about GE hoses or can I use another brand, perhaps Whirlpool?
Also, I'd prefer repairing rather than replacing the hose because of the work involved in snaking the hose to the sink. Is there a clamp I can use on a corrugated drain hose?

If the existing drain hose still has the rubber end, you can cut the rubber end back to the 5/8" mark and extend the hose using 5/8" ID black hose (commonly available).
Be sure to use a barbed fitting and clamps to extend the hose, here's a link:

If the rubber end is missing you can use a replacement hose end (for the corrugated hose) and cut that back to the 5/8" mark or whatever ID you need:
