Size: 16.4 KBHello. So when I bought my house the water issue in shower was not caught. So I'm trying to see how I can Put the temp Back to normal. This is a single knob shower with no cartdridge. I looked on YouTube but couldn't find anything for this certain style. No clue on model .. In one of the pics , there is a long open section on which a small tab of metal goes inside ( i assume a stopping feature ) and this is the only way ball fits in. Would Anyone

It's a Delta or knockoff and the ball can only go in one way as you found. Likely the body was installed wrong and never corrected.

I don't know any way of reversing it. Maybe someone else has a trick.

Turn the faucet on whichever way you have to so that hot water comes out... then go below the tub and feel if the line on the left (as viewed when facing the faucet) is hot, and if the line on the right is cold. Its not unheard of for a diy'er to get them mixed up. If they are wrong below... you could always switch the lines.
