Gurgling toilet

I have two toilets essentially back to back separated by drywall. One of them gurgles when I flush. I understand this is likely due to a roof vent blockage. Since the two toilets share the same vent does this mean that the blockage is close to the toilet itself, as it couldn't be in any section of shared piping?
Or, could the gurgling be cause by a blockage in the line (water pipes)?
Thanks for any help!

A toilet can also gurgle because of a clog in the drain line.

If it's only one of 2 back to back toilets, run an auger in the gurgling toilet.
