what kind of shutoff valve this is

I am planning to replace an old toilet shutoff valve, but not sure what kind of valve this is though, it does not look like compression for sure, but is this a sweat valve? thanks

Yes this is sweated on. I suggest you cut it off at the valve and use a Sharkbite valve. No soldering or threading.

Good suggestion. No soldering involved. Just make sure to clean the pipe well.... no burrs.

Sharkbite valve
