Replaced Stem on shower body but still leaking?

Hey guys, the hot water handle broke on the dual handle Glacier bay shower body. We replaced the stem but hot water is still running with the handle in closed position. This is the front of what we got and when we had taken the stem off there wasn't the little spring and a tiny circular piece of rubber on the old stem.

Any idea of the use of that small spring and where it should go on the stem please and if that is the problem?

That spring and that rubber washer look just like Delta parts.
Are you sure they came out of your faucet ?
Possibly that spring and rubber piece came out of the old cartridge.

If you replaced the hot cartridge..... what's the part number ?

One of my friends who does heating repair fixed it, that spring and rubber goes into the front of the shower body.
