Toilet overflow tube extension

We have an about a two year old Delta toilet. The "water saver" overflow tube is too short. I saw "overflow toilet tube extensions" advertised. Anyone know if they work? They're not very expensive. Sound to good, and easy, to be true.

Why do you want to extend the overflow tube??? I think you have another problem and raising the height of the overflow is not the solution.

I "assume" we have a low flow water saving toilet. I assumed the height of the overflow tube limited how much water the tank could hold.

Anyway I fiddled with the float cup and got more water in the tank, will see if that makes a difference. Thanks for making me take a second look.
