Question Kitchen faucet/water flow question

My kitchen plumbing makes a hammering sound often when I open the faucet. The flow also starts slowly and I hear a kind of a hiss along with the water flow and runs on for a moment when the faucet is turned off. What is the fix for this?

Thanks
Dave

Sounds like air in the water. Do you have a well with a storage tank?

Check the aerator on the end of the faucet's spout to make sure it's not partially clogged with debris.
