Good morning Gents, I am trying to remove a 1234 cartridge from a Darcy faucet and can not pull it up, when I look down I see a black retainer , should that be removed first,
no tool available if that is necessary, please advise .

Reason: Problem solved. Tool was available,
Garbage disposal is not working.
Here few things I did.
Initially it was working then It started to make hissing/humming noise Then nothing.
I did switched off from circuit breaker ( my Garbage disposal is wired in and there is no Plug in or out option)
1. Located reset Button (red button in picture) and Reset it.
2. I manage to clean out some particle (broken Glass) from Top. There are NONE visible objects stuck into garbage disposal rotating plate from Top.
It is now making a Humming noise (still not working), which is some improvement. At least electricity is flowing to disposal.
I could not find hole at bottom where one can stick Allen wrench and manually rotate it.
There is small plate held by 2 screws. What is beneath/above that plate? If I remove those screws would I be able to find hole where one can stick either Allen wrench or some sort of tool to rotate inside plate of disposal.
I have old disposal I could not find easy way to take it out. In newer one there are some anchor where one can stick screw driver, rotate and take it out.
Just had a new dishwasher installed. The plumber used a 5' water supply line. Once the d.w. was in place, he pulled the excess supply line through the side of the undersink cabinet and wrapped it around the plumbing drain. Twice! Is this normal? I once had to replace a door spring on my old d.w. and was very happy for the extra slack in the hose making it easy to pull out without disconnecting anything. This wrapping the slack around a pipe will prevent pulling the dishwasher out without first disconnecting the supply line. Pretty dumb, I think, but maybe I'm wrong. Is this standard operating procedure for plumbers these days?
PS. He also wrapped the extra discharge hose around the piping too, once again eliminating the slack.
