My water faucet started to drip from outlet. I took out the cartridge. Even dissembled the two ceramic discs inside. Overall looked in good condition, nothing obvious. Is this a universal part? The faucet itself is a cheapo product form Amazon that is discontinued (so no service parts). Is it possible to find a replacement cartridge? e.g. something like this? My tenant’s bathroom sink has to be unclogged every few months due a build-up of gelatinous ook that collects around the opening and down into the waste line. I’ve interrogated the tenant about what products he uses, and the claim is “only glycerine soap.” The crud in the drain is not that. It’s black and gray, phleghmy wet slime, with a consistency of soft butter. Gross. But I need to figure out what it is because the tenant calls me to clean it out regularly. See photo. Any ideas?
