Well I got the supply line off (previous post).
No place carries an exact replacement supply line.
Kohler sent out a new faucet.
What do I have to do to get this old faucet off. Tried turning the round part from underneath, with no luck. Any suggestions? 3rd picture is the top side with the handle off.
One last question. I got the large locknut to come off on the cold side. I'm going to have to try harder for the hot side.
Question - will the faucet just lift up off the granite, or maybe the bottom just slide out. Trying to help out my sister-in-law and save her some money. If I can't get it loose and replace the faucet today, I'll have her call a plumber.
Them two big nuts hold the hot and cold valves in place as well as hold the faucet down.
Once those two nuts are removed.... the valves should fall out below.
The drain pull rod is disconnected from below and will pull up and out.
Since you are removing the valve for replacement you could use channel lock pliers on the nut if a wrench won't grab the flats. The channel locks will ruin the outer threads.
I was thinking of adding the Moen Annex system so we could have both the shower head and the hand attachment on a bar. My question is this, is it a code certainty that our shower has this and it's removable.

The Annex system requires this "arm" to be removed. My fear is that mine of not removable. It's original to the home so which ever way saved the builder a .05 cents was the way he'd go if not a code requirement.
After a long delay I am fixing the cracked drain of my wet bar ( kitchen sink)
everything is done and I just need touninstall the strainer now
When I removed the strainer , I found some cracked rubber like stuff. Cleaned it , but I am confused what to use -- plumber's putty or silicone caulk or a new washer ?
I got a new strainer nut that came with 2 washer.
What is the order -- one washer on top, one on bottom ?
