American Standard Champion 4 flush valve

American Standard Champion 4 Flush valve [p/n 3174.002-0070AP] having trouble finding a part number/name for this gasket. Gasket goes on the bottom threaded part of the flush valve before setting it into the tank to bowl gasket. Its the gasket circled in red and is grey in color. 2 of 3 toilets need this replaced due to using "cleaners" in the tank.

It doesn't appear to be available by itself.
I consulted repair parts kits, flapper to tank gaskets and installation instructions.
Nowhere was that gasket listed as a separate part.

I would call it a flapper to tank gasket.
Two styles used.... nylon and rubber.

I did find out that the AP valve carries a 10 year warranty.
Try contacting American Standard for replacement.

Tx Pete. I will try customer service, but having mentioned above, I believe the "cleaners' is what did them in. Hope some good will may come my way??? Tx Mike

In these days....... customers need all the good will they can get.
Most of the faucet/fixture companies are pretty good about standing behind their products.

Got an email today that American Standard is shipping the 3 gaskets. Expect 5-7 days before delivery.

Hopefully the bucket won't overflow in the mean time.

Nothing can go wrong, go wrong, go wrong. Received the "gaskets" today and they were the wrong ones. They sent me 3 of the gaskets (blue) under the green dome (1st pic above) and not the gaskets from the bottom as circled in red, also in the first pic. Will try a phone call Monday.

You need the valve to tank gasket.
I'd post a part number but never found it.
You might need to send a picture.

I like to search. I've seen a black gasket in place of that white/nylon one.
It looks like the gasket from almost any flush valve of the same diameter will work.
Strange thing is nobody shows that gasket separately. It's always included with the flush valve.

If American Standard can't ship just the gasket... tell them to ship the entire valve.

Started first with an email this AM, probably follow up with phone call. Yes I did send them a picture. Maybe their security sidelined it?? Tx Pete
