Kohler whirlpool tub mystery item

This is from a kohler whirlpool tub that’s ~20 years old. It’s leaking. Before I try to fix it want to know what it is! Anyone able to help? Thanks….

Possibly an air inlet for the jets. It looks like suction would pull the center pin (plunger) down and allow air to enter through the pinhole in the top. I cannot imagine why it would leak unless the plunger is stuck and the line is pressurized.

I agree. However I could not find it any whirlpool parts catalogs.

In my searches I kept coming up with one name...... Guillens
I'd try contacting them. Possibly send them a picture of the part.

That certainly looks like it. Quite pricey.
