My garbage disposal is leaking from side. There is a hole right next to discharge pipe. I have attached a picture where I marked the hole. The material where hole is located seems to be plastic.
What is this hole? Is it weeping hole or is it just a damage?
Thank you for reading my post. I appreciate your response in advance.
The shower arm in my upstairs bathroom was probably installed when the house was built, in 1926. It's too small in diameter to fit a modern 1/2" shower head, so I need a new larger shower arm installed. I'd like to get an idea of how this can be done, if anyone here knows.
I have Riobel BI201 kitchen faucet.

It is leaking just above the valve, when the pipe narrows. The entire hose, spring, pipe and spout is connected via friction fitting, is a hex screw holding it in place. I can take it out, but not sure what to do to fix the leak. Plumbers tape, silicone grease?
