Drain clog: orthodontic elastics

Hi all,

My bathroom sink is clogged, but when the sink fills the water clears out with slurping noises. I've tried drano repeatedly, and tried one of those little plastic hook things, no dice. I use a retainer and know that some rubber bands from it have gone down the sink, maybe that was it.

Is there a way to clear it myself?

Thanks In advance!

Stop using dangerous chemicals. Run a bunch of water through to dilute/remove those chemicals and then take apart the trap under the sink.

As noted, get a big plastic tub, clear out the area under the sink, get a wrench or large plyers, note how all the pieces go together and carefully take it all apart and clean out anything inside!
