Grohe 34902

Looking for some help with this mixing valve. Right now water is only luke warm. I got to the green dial and tried turning in both directions assuming this is how adjustment would be made. No change in temp. I looked at parts breakdown and wondering what the primary cause of this is. I am assuming the cartridge ? but curious what function the 2 valves play? Also assuming there are 2 service stops to shut off water? lastly any tricks on removing/replacing cartridge. Have done plenty of Delta/Moen and Symmons but this is uncharted territory lol

Thanks

nks

Looks similar to this setup... https://www.lowes.com/pd/GROHE-Chrom...Handle/3222167

And if so, I think the top one is the thermostat control. So if it's not hot enough, turn the top valve.

Xsleeper, thanks for reply ! After looking at parts breakdown this model has 2 check valves which I am assuming if one was stuck could cause the lack of temp control and looking at the cartridge it does not seem to have the sliding mechanism like those in a symmons temptrol. So wondering if anyone has a guess as to which is most likely culprit (check valves or cartridge) ? Only reason being so anal is parts very expensive total checks and cartridge $500. Ouch !!
