I am trying to replace shower cartridge but I am unable to take off the Kohler shower handle. There are two long screws in the back trim plate, but nothing on the handle itself. I took the screws out and plate lifts off the wall. it spins freely but the handle itself is stuck.
Am I able to just pull this handle off? I dont see a set screw anywhere. When I pull on the handle, it sounds like I'm pulling on the pipes.
There is usually a set screw on the underside of the handle that takes a 3/32" Allen wrench to loosen it. It is on the bottom of the handle right in front of that bottom screw you removed. Visible in your first photo.
What causes a milky white substance that looks like cooked egg whites to form at edge of water in toilet bowl?
The substance clings to bowl and does not flush. It has to be wiped out with toilet paper and then flushed. It seems to happen once/twice a week.
I am installing a floating vanity and moving the drain pipe higher (to make the vanity the right height) would be a lot of work due to other things being in the way. This setup uses a low profile drain pipe from Ikea I want to copy. Is this to code? What would potential problems be?
