Kitchen Tap - So Tight, Difficult to Use

We got a new kitchen tap put in a few months back. From day 1, i noticed the cold tap was very hard to turn off. It is fine twisting it on, but very stiff when you try to turn it off.

The problem is, it has gotten slowly worse over time. Now it is almost impossible to turn off. You need to use 2 hands to twist it to the off position and stop the water running.

Is tere anything I can do to rectify this?

Or, do I need to get a plumber in again?
Or, even fork out for another new tap?

Thanks
K

Here's an image of the tap

It's a mixer tap for hot and cold water. It's just the dial on the right for cold water that is stiff. The left is fine.

I would turn off the water and disassemble the cold side. It is possible the washer inside is coming apart jamming it from moving.

Have plumber replace under warranty. Should be greater than 2 months.
