Kitchen Faucet - leak at the base when turning on the water

Thi morning, when turnig on the water, I noticed the kitchen faucet is leaking at the base where it is attched to the top of the ganite counter.

The faucet is similar to the one in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnOv1YuPpnY

I think the one we have is is a delta or moen that was replacd by a plumber about 8 years . It does rotate 180 degress with no issues.

In the video at about 3:10, the guy pulls off the spout, I am not sure this can be done on the one in our kitchen. I can get a photo and post it whenn I get home.

Just wondering if it may be seal at the base / gasket that may need repalced ?

thanks

Yes. You can contact the manufacturer's support line. Most major brands will send you parts at no charge under warranty.

I took a closer look and it is not the base. It is below the handle.
I am uploading 2 pics.
One has a red circle around the area.
I noticed last week, when turning on the water moving the handle up and down it was squeaking.
I shot some wd40 in and ti stopped.

Is it a gasket on the handle portion?

In the video I posted of a similar handle, the guy removed the faucet handle without turning off the water to clean under.

I am thinking it may be a gasket.

Thanks

It is VITAL that paperwork for faucets is saved.
Without knowing the make and model we can't offer much help.

Yes... the handle comes off.
It's typically held in place with a setscrew.
It is extremely doubtful there is a seal on the handle.
It's typically on the spout below that swivels.
Delta faucets use two large o-rings in the swiveling spout.

I tracked the item and have a guide they sent = Moen faucet INS10601B
it is a One Handle pullout kitchen faucet.

I had an issue before with it and they sent me a cartridge.

Not sure what they will say, but I will contact them

They offer a limited lifetime warranty..... hold them to it.

Trying to find exact parts list. Looks like page six in the link below.

They are sending a cartridge

Is it installed by removing the faucet on top or is this done from under the sink?

Everything is done from above the countertop.

I replaced the cartridge yesterday and all is good.

Found a few videos online that showed the process.

Took about 5 minutes

Thanks
