I bought a microfiber sofa and loveseat from a place called Home USA furniture wharehouse. They told me they scotchguarded it but my problem isn't with a stain it's from rips in the colored part of the couch on the corners of the couch and loveseat. The rips are getting bigger and I need to know how to stop them from gettng any bigger and making big holes in my couch. Does anyone have any solution for me. Also, I am noticing little shiny spots on the sofa. I don't have any children and my cats are declawed so I don't know what it could be. I need some help on how I can stop my new furniture from looking old.

I wish to learn how to upholster furniture. I am thinking about buying a training DVD on line. Does anyone have any experience with or can recommend which ones are worth the money and which ones are not? Thanks, wasupg
