Cutting foam

I'm making new seat cushions for our breakfast nook. I bought a big four inch sheet of foam. Now I need to figure out a way to cut it. I need to cut it down to fit the seats.

Can someone tell me how? Thank you.

cjk, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I have seen this done by pressing a board (2x4) down on the foam and using it for a straight edge and cutting with a utility knife. Good luck.

I agree with Slickshift. I forgot about that method. First time I saw an electric carving knife used on foam I laughed. Then I saw how well it worked.
