Unhappy Failed Windows Updates!!!

Failure to install windows updates. Repeatedly!!!...

Windows does the backup first, then the attempt to install.

Update fails!!!...

Window appears saying "Try Again!"

Try again continues to result in >FAILURES< again...

Any attempt to communicate/contact M/S is next to useless!!!...
In the pass I experienced success contacting windows.
This time the >Lights< are visibly ON. But nobody is >HOME<...

Venting completed. Feeling so much better...
Time for another cup of brew!...

Which Windows do you have? I have 7 Pro and after fighting with it for a month I just gave up, haven't installed one in months.

My laptop often fails to load updates but it's never been an issue with my desktop. Both have Win10. The biggest difference between the 2 pc is the size of the processor. One of these days I'm going to use that pos laptop for target practice

Version of windows is 7 Home Pro. With an Intel Core 7 processer. Browser is I.E. 11. Doubt either makes all that much difference... Dam computer......runs well even though it's on in age...much like it's owner...

Problem has been ongoing for a long time and I too often ignore it. As I'll continue to due. Just irritates me. Wondering if the current update is the same as the one prior. Have to check the installed updates once again.

Windows 10? Not one whom looks forward to that version. Tried it and did not like it. However, if either of the 2 windows based computers I presently own does need replacement, like everyone else will have to accept 10 in a replacement. 7 suppose to be ending few years from now. Just like all former versions including XP!...

Next computer just might be a new APPLE.......

You liked Win ME and Vista?!

I would try to find the update and delete it. Then make windows re-download it. Might have been an issue with the download. The other possibility would be some program is preventing windows from installing the update. The program could be a windows service too.

You can directly download the update from Microsoft,
search for the KB number, then run it as an .exe or .msi file.

I've found that worked when an update just would not
