Repair vinyl floor seam

I had sheet vinyl flooring installed in my kitchen on a concrete slab about 3-1/2 yrs ago that has developed a separation at the seam. It is about 2-3 inches in length. Can anyone advise the best method for re-cementing it to the floor before it degrades to the point where I really have a problem?

You need to clean the dirt from under the area if any for starters. Then reglue it with vinyl adhesive, let the adhesive set up for about 10 minutes or so before putting the vinyl into the adhesive. Put a heavy object on top to hold down the vinyl. Reseal the seam and you should be set. Make sure you find out if you have a perimeter glue or a full spread vinyl, so you know what kind of adhesive to get.
