Vinyl Tile in a bathroom

I am looking into installing self adhesive vinyl tile in a bathroom. I am replacing the existing subfloor with 3/4inch exterior plywood. Questions:
1.Do I need to take extra precautions to manage moisture?
2.Should silicone caulk be used to seal base moldings to prevent water reaching the subfloor?

I am going to install some vinly tile in a rental I have. It now has tile in it. Should I remove the old tile or just tile over it? I removed some of it in a small entry and put in ceramic there, it popped up really easy, just used a putty knife and came right up. That is my concern if I lay it over top of the old, it all coming loose. If I remove it will the old glue become a problem when laying the new? Also they are self stick tiles, I would have prefered using a mastic, but that is all they had . Can you use mastic on self stick tiles? Thanks AlRead More

White tile turned yellow/brown

I have 12x12 vinyl tile in my kitchen. 11 years old. Most of it is still white, but there is an area of about 8 tiles (traffic area by refrigerator and dog's drinking water) that has turned a yellowish brown color. I have tried ammonia, bleach (not at the same time!), Comet cleanser, SOS pads, and Armstrong Floor Cleaner. None of them have done anything other than clean - no change in tile color. Is there a way to get the white back on these 8 tiles? Or do I just need to replace them or re-tile the kitchen? Thanks. judyRead More
