vinyl over vinyl???

Help!

I installed vinyl in my bathroom, but it looks awful.

I think I used too much glue and it is bumpy, etc.

Can I place another piece over my first try?

If so, how should I do it?

Thank you,

no you can't cause you are only trying to mask the problem and it will not go away like that. You need to remove the first try and clean that up and start over.Take that up and get back to us so we can talk ya through it

Floorman:

Thank you for the info. So far, I have removed the old (new) vinyl and am now facing globs and globs of glue.

I am thinking about just putting some more of that self-leveling concrete stuff, because I can't get rid of that glue?

What do you think?

take a 6" putty knife and get all the glue up that you can.Take some of that leveler in the powder form and sprinkle it over the glue to kill the glue, then mix some of the leveler up and reskim the floor and let dry.Now you need to get the trowel that is needed for this type of install about a 1/32 notch or maybe even a 1/16 notch trowel read the directions on the glue it will tell you what you need

Do I actually need to remove the tiles from the floor and start with a new sub-floor?

I am trying to get all the gooey glue off, and some of my "self leveling" stuff is coming off too. What a mess!

What should I do next?

Thanks!
