Repairing Armstrong no glue sheet flooring

We purchased Armstrong Bracton Sheet Flooring that uses acrylic double-face tape. We have managed to tear a hole approx. 3"x3" in it in a noticable area. Has anyone had experiance in repairing this type of flooring? Attached is a photo of our mishap. Please, help????

If you have left over material, it may be possible to patch it.

what you will need to do is to take two blocks in the same pattern and cut the ones out that are ripped ,it can be done but do you have the 2 blocks needed for the repair?

How flat is flat enough?

In preparation for laying some vinyl tile (12x12 squares, commercial grade) in my basement, I used floor leveler (a liquid product that is poured on) to fill in some seriously low spots. There is now a small ridge (1/8" or less) at the edges where the leveler meets the bare floor. Will this cause a problem in laying the tiles? Do I need to now use leveler on the entire floor?Read More

We have a solid sheet vinyl flooring in our kitchen that has been down for 8 years. It is still in very good condition except for every now and then there are little rust colored spots (the vinyl is mostly an off-white with some blue). They remind me of spots where spaghetti sauce or something dropped has stained it. I don't think that's the case however. Someone told me that it was glue coming up through. If that's true why is it just every now and then. Smallest spots are about the size of a pencil, larger ones are irregular shaped half-dollars. We layed the 1/4" floor sheeting below the vinyl when we installed it. Any ideas?Read More
