Question 1-inch "lip" for bathrooms?

Installing new vinyl in bathroom. Three boys are notorious for getting water all over it.

Q: Should/Can I install a 1-inch bent-up lip of vinyl around the wall and "hidden" under the floor molding? To restate, should/can I cut the vinyl 1-inch wider at each wall and then bend the vinyl up to keep in water spills? I was planning to seal at corners.

Thanks,
Mark

That sounds like a hassle, just fit the vinyl so the base can rest on top of it and caulk the perimeter of the room to keep moisture out from under the base.
