Do I really have to raise the toilet?
#1

I want to make my bathroom a bit nicer and am therefore going to put on the floor another linoleum, the old one is really old and looks awful.
Is there no way around raising the toilet? Is that absolutely necessary?
Isn't raising the toilet really hard?
I'm veeery lazy and need an easy way to do this

A toilet flange is supposed to sit flush on top of the finished flooring with only the thickness of the flange above it.
If you strip out the old vinyl, smooth the flooring with leveler, and just add a new layer of vinyl, you shouldn't need to do anything with the flange.
Stuff an old rag or towel in the flange hole to prevent sewer gas when you remove the toilet to do the new flooring.
Good Luck!
