latex primer before laying vinyl tile
we have purchased some peel and stick vinyl tile and the box says that on wood surfaces, to use a latex primer for vinyl tile. we have put 1/4" sheets of plywood for the underlayment of the floor. do these need to be primed? where on earth do we buy a primer for vinyl tile? wouldn't any latex primer do just fine?

Osb, is not an approved surface for vinyl to be installed directly on top of it.
You need underlayment approved for use under vinyl flooring. It is made of Birch wood. So it doesn't stain from oils and is harder then pine plywood, also no voids in the core plies, which could bust through and leave a nasty looking spot later.
