Strip any wax from the old floor and make sure you have a squeeky clean floor surface. There is no waiting period for moving back in your appliances. Check either the instructions which come with the new tiles, or call the manufacturer for their advise. A toll free # is usually found on the carton or instructions.

Acclimation of vinyl tiles is a good thing. It is a temperature thing, that makes them expand or shrink.

If your existing sheet vinyl has an embossed pattern or texture to the surface, you will need to skimcoat the surface of the existing sheet vinyl with an embossing leveler. This sometimes takes 2 coats to fill in the texture.
If you skip this, you will have loose tiles later, or the texture/pattern of the existing sheetvinyl will show through to your tiles.

Don't roll appliances over freshly laid luxury tiles. Use a sheet of masonite or thin plywood to protect the flooring as you roll it into position for that final placement.
