Smile Black adhesive on concrete = remove ???

hi,
I removed vinyl sheet and the linoleum under it and I am left with the old black adhesive on the concrete floor. I want to install peel and stick vinyl tiles. Do I need to remove this if so how?
Thanks in advance for the help

You are need to razor scrape it down to a fine residue, while keeping it wet, so no dust or asbestos is airborne. Then encapsulate what is left, with ARDEX SD-F, troweled on and then feather edged.

Scraper ?????

Perry,
I appreciate your help with the preparation of my floor. Is the scraper you mention something resonable to buy a Home Depot or should I look to rent? Thanks for all the advice.

Warm water, rather than cold, helps the scraping.......it keeps the glue soft....
