oil primer below vinyl self-stick tile

the back of my vinyl tile box said to put down a latex primer to make things stick better. by mistake, i put down an oil based primer. the question is will the tiles still stick or have i ruined all the prep I have done?

The only thing that comes to mind here for me is that adhesive on the tile might somehow react to or disolve the oil primer.I have no idea if that is why they specify latex but I'd test with one tile and see what happens if there is no definetive answer.Suggest you contact either the place yout the tile or the manufacturer for information.

Yep, you screwed up!!!!!!

Floor primer is nothing but liquid latex. It looks like watery milk. Henrys 330
