Best flooring for stacked front-load washer?

I am looking to buy a front-load washer and dryer and stack them in the laundry room on the first floor of my home.

A friend tells me his similar set-up results in the washer (during spin cycle) "dancing" all over the floor.

The existing flooring is vinyl over 5/8" T&G plywood, supported by 2x10's spaced 24" on center.

If I add an additional layer of 3/4" plywood over the area that the washer/dryer will be installed, will this prevent the vibration ("dancing"?) problem?

Any other recommendations? I want to do this right the first time...

Thanks,

Tom

You sure is washer is front load?

I have had a couple of these stacked front load units and never had a problem with dancing. I certainly did with my old top load washer and I know some stacked units have a top load washer with a dryer on top. Both of mine have been on hardwood floors. If I had a choice I would suggest the type of flat rubber flooring that is used in industrial buildings, grippy, moisture resistant.
